CKO Kickboxing of Staten Island is by far the BEST total body workout around.  It has changed the way I look and feel in a big way !!  Here is what I have experienced so far ....

* Look, I am not the type to step on the scale everyday, that is just not me.  People at work and a few friends told me that I was looking better, and seemed happier.  From there, I decided to go home and step on the scale. Well, I was pretty happy with what I saw.  I have lost 14 lbs after 2 months..I try and attend 3-4 1 hr. classes per week. As far as "dieting"..I definitely watch more what I am eating, but I wouldn't call it a strict diet at all.

* I am sleeping better, and waking up feeling refreshed.  I work in a high stress environment..CKO has actually helped me dealing with my stress because the workout definitely helps you blow off steam.  Having a cigarette was my only way to deal with everyday aggrevation..Because of the intense workout, smoking hurts your performance..I have cut down my smoking by more than half!!

Bottom-line..CKO is AWESOME!! Nicky, Claudine, and Mark provide a highly motivational class.  The "bag attacks" are SICK!!  If you want to experience a tremendous total body workout, get yourself over to CKO Kickboxing..I doubt you will be disappointed.

OK, so I am officially addicted to CKO! I am an avid gym goer and I do not feel or get the same results in an hour at the gym that I get from taking Nick,Claudine, or Marks classes for an hour.  I've been attending CKO classes for about a month, going to 4-5 classes a week.  I already see and feel a difference in my arms, legs and waist!  I couldn't be anymore satisfied with the results so far. I would recommend anyone I know to just try out a class, cause i feel so strongly that they will love it. This was the best thing to hit Staten Island!!! Thanks CKO

After giving birth to my second child I was determined to get myself back into shape and back into my "pre-baby" clothing.  After months of vigorous working out at home my weight loss plateaued and I was stuck at a number that I was very unhappy with.  I was down on myself and  began losing motivation and enthusiasm fast.  CKO could not have opened at a more perfect time.  I have been a member for almost 2 months now and the pounds and inches are melting off.  I now fit in all my pre-baby clothing and some of it is even too big for me!  CKO is a high impact, total body  workout.   The instructors are great and they bring so much energy to each and every class.  They push  me to work harder  and  to do things I never imagined possible.  I look forward to the classes and I miss it when I can't get there.  When I leave there I always feel great.  I tell everyone I know about it. I have done alot of workouts, taken alot of classes and trained for alot of events...CKO is by far the best total body workout around that produces quick results.

I've been going for two months now and I am seeing muscle tone return to my body that I thought had been lost forever!  It's a great workout and it works every inch of your body!  I'm not a "get on the scale" girl but my clothes are getting looser and looser and my arms, shoulders and upper back look amazing.  The classes are tough but the awesome instructors motivate you to get you through.  Nick will show you a move that you think there's no way you can do and before you know it, you're doing it!  I brought some of my skeptical friends and they are hooked also!  It's worth every penny!

I attended the kickboxing class with Nick. This was an amazing class! I actually left the class feeling my whole body was worked out.  It was a great way to relieve stress and have fun! Nick was very motivational and helpful. I highly recommend the kickboxing class to everyone!

I am extremely active. I love the gym, actively train for triathlons 6 months out of the year, practice aerial silks and trapeze on occasion..you name it! I definitely don't need another workout, but its important to always change it up and shock your muscles.  I've made the CKO classes apart of that.

I've only had the opportunity to attend Nick's classes. He does a great job in adjusting the classes and making them fresh. I can see he is very considerate in making the workout doable for all fitness levels.

cko has helped me stick to my new healthy lifestyle!  i never thought i would say i'd rather take an exercise class instead of watching american idol!  i've lost 8 pounds in 5 weeks, and hoping to lose more.  finally after 5 years of carrying baby weight, i am finally going to slim down to my pre-baby weight.  hopefully win si slimdown while i am at it!

  • Classes are 1 hr long and are always instructed by a CKO certified trainer.
  • Boxing gloves or MMA gloves are required to take the class. Gloves are sold in the gym if you do not have a pair.

    Frequently Asked Questions

  • What equipment do I need?
    You need gloves for our kickboxing classes. We recommend fingerless Harbinger gloves; which you can purchase at our gym locations. You can also purchase less expensive boxing gloves. Our classes are an intense workout so we recommend bringing a towel; some prefer to also bring a mat.

  • Do I have to wait for a specific start date?
    If you would like to become a member and take kickboxing classes you can come in at any time.

  • Do I have to have previous kickboxing experience?
    No, we encourage everyone whether you have taken kickboxing or not to take a Club KO kickboxing class. An orientation is given to everyone prior to the first class, which includes the punches and kicks needed during the class.

  • Are there advanced classes and beginner classes?
    The classes are not run at different levels but because everyone is working with their own heavy bag you are able to go at your own pace. We encourage you to go slow in the beginning and then as you take more classes increase the intensity.

  • Are there age restrictions?
    There are no age restrictions. If a young adult under the age of 18 is interested a parent/guardian must sign for him or her to take a class.

  • Are the classes coed?
    Yes, we have both male and female members and the classes are mixed.

  • Am I restricted to a certain number of classes per week?
    Once you become a Club KO Member you can take an unlimited number of kickboxing classes for the duration of your membership.

  • What are the membership rates?
    Please feel free to pick up a rate card at the location's front desk.

  • If I sign up at one location, can I use all locations?
    You can use your membership at the following locations for a certain fee per class.

  • Bay Ridge/Brooklyn, Carroll Gardens/Brooklyn - $5/class
    Hoboken locations - $10/class
